vet records, if you need any resources please let me know and we will see what i can help with
prim (spayed, female) and monte (neutered, male) are brother and sister and a bonded pair. they really are each other's chosen friend, and because of that, it is very important to us that they are rehomed together. they are both microchipped, and their microchip information can be transferred to their new family.
prim and monte are both very shy tempered cats. they will need someone who is willing to give them time and patience to get to know you and warm up to you on their own terms. they aren't going to be the kind of cats who immediately come running up to a new person, but once they learn that they are safe with you, they have their own little ways of showing that they love and trust you.
prim does not really like to be pet, but she shows her love by choosing to sit next to you and just exist with you. she's very much a "i love you, but we can love each other from right here" kind of girl ???? monte does enjoy being pet, but he definitely wants it to be his idea. once he decides he wants some love, though, he is such a sweet boy.
monte has also had an ear hematoma in the past that ended up cauliflowering his ear. i have taken him to the vet for this, and i am more than willing to talk about his ear and the veterinary care he may need with anyone who is seriously interested in bringing him into their life. i want to be completely transparent about this because making sure monte ends up with a family who is able and willing to take care of his additional veterinary needs is extremely important to me.
prim and monte do not do well with dogs or children, and we are looking for a home where they can be the only two babies. i really think these two would thrive in a quieter home with someone who understands that earning their trust may take some time and is willing to let them come out of their shells at their own pace.
if you are curious why my partner and i are rehoming them, we were very young when we started rescuing kittens and cats and unfortunately ended up getting in over our heads. we have spent the past several years trying our best to make having 12 cats work, but eventually we had to recognize that just because we *can* keep making it work doesn't necessarily mean that is what is best for them. they deserve the opportunity to have more individual attention, space, resources, and care than we are able to give each of them with so many cats in our home. with monte specifically needing some additional veterinary care because of his ear, i also want to make sure he is with a family who has the resources to give him that care.
prim and monte have been with us for their entire lives, so finding the right home for them means so much to us. we aren't expecting them to immediately be completely different cats for someone new. we just want someone who will be patient enough to let them be prim and monte and give them the time they need to feel safe and loved.
if you think you could be that home for them, please message me. ????
