peter (male, neutered) and wendy (female, spayed) are a bonded pair of littermates who have been together since birth, so they will need to find a home together. ???? peter and wendy actually have a pretty cute origin story. when they were kittens, they were found roaming around the nashville zoo. a groundskeeper reached out to my partner and i to see if we could take them in, and of course we did. they have been with us ever since. they are both incredibly sweet and loving, just in their own ways. peter is more of a "come find you at the end of the night for some private pets" kind of boy. he's a sweetheart and tends to be pretty gentle and passive. wendy, on the other hand, is a BIG lover girl. she will climb all over you and would probably spend the entire day attached to you if she could ???? they are both microchipped, and their microchip information can be transferred to their new family. they can be wary of dogs, but i think they could do well with a calm, laid back dog who respects their space. preferably not a puppy or a super high energy dog. wendy does not do well with other female cats. even though she is spayed, she has gotten into some pretty heated fights with female cats in the past. she does much better with male cats. peter is such a sweetheart that he tends to get bullied a little because he doesn't really stick up for himself. because of this, if you already have other animals, we would really prefer for peter and wendy to be a small addition to your family rather than joining a home with a lot of other pets. if you are curious why we are rehoming peter and wendy, my partner and i were very young when we started rescuing kittens and cats, and over time we unfortunately got in over our heads. we have tried our best for the past several years to make having 12 cats work, but eventually we had to recognize that it was taking a toll on not just us, but them too. we love them so much, and part of loving them is recognizing that they could have a happier life somewhere they can get more individual attention, space, and love. we want to give them the opportunity to have that. these two have spent their entire lives together and with us, so finding them a safe, loving home together is incredibly important to us. if you think you could give peter and wendy that, please message me. ???? peter is the chunkier kitty with the little chipped ear, and wendy is the other kitty pictured.
