She is not the type of kitty who immediately demands attention, but rather the kind who quietly watches from the background until she feels safe enough to come forward on her own. Once noticed and approached gently, Shaye absolutely enjoys affection. Like her daughter ShayAnne, she especially loves being petted from the neck down first. That is what starts her little “motor” running, and before long she begins softly purring and settling into the affection. Shaye would thrive best in a calm, peaceful home. Ideally she would either be an only kitty or paired with another sweet, confident, non-dominant cat. She has been bullied a bit by stronger personalities, and because of that she tends to prefer gentler companions and quieter surroundings. One of Shaye’s favorite places is the very top of the cat tree, where she can quietly survey her little queendom from above.
