We’re a couple in our 20s based in NYC; I work in environmental science and my partner is in dental school. We already have 4 beloved cats and realized 5 is too many for our apartment. His $3,000 fee covers his purchase, flight nanny, testing, and vet care rather than generating a profit, and will go toward our other cats’ ongoing care. We realized that vet care is Manhattan is so pricey. This was a difficult decision for us because Ollie is such a cutie. He is also so people-oriented (more so than all our cats) and needs time/attention and cuddles.
