It is with very mixed emotions that I write this, but one of our favorite queens is officially ready to retire from motherhood. Sunshine has had around five litters of kittens, and after an especially difficult final pregnancy, we have decided it is time for her to enjoy the relaxed life she deserves. Over the years, Sunshine has produced multiple beautiful snow and silver kittens, and she has always been an incredibly attentive and loving mama. She truly gave everything to her babies. Beyond being a wonderful mother, Sunshine has the sweetest temperament. She absolutely adores her people and loves being petted — especially belly rubs. Every time she sees us, she greets us as if we have been gone forever. She is truly a special girl. Sunshine gets along with everyone in our cattery. Even the feistiest cats seem to tolerate — and often love — her presence. She is definitely the queen bee and knows it! She regularly lets herself into the other cats’ rooms just to visit her feline friends. She also does wonderfully with people and other animals, making her an easy companion in almost any home environment. We will be heartbroken to see her go, but we know she is ready for a home where she can finally relax without kittens constantly running around. She deserves to spend the rest of her life being spoiled and loved as the queen she is.
