My males are lover boys, friendly, curious, playful and ready to make friends with other pets. They have super soft coats and usually love to follow you everwhere, are typically good with children young and older ones. Ragdolls handle baths well and tend to love water. They do shed in spring and fall mostly but not as bad as most long hair breeds. A weekly combing is usually sufficient, they will only matt if you let them go for months and even then not much. These are loving animals great for a emotional support pet. They are usually quiet and not destructive, are easily trained not to jump up on counters. Ragdolls are generally a healthy breed that lives a long life. If you have no other pets or are gone a lot during the day I would advise getting two kittens, as Ragdolls do best with a companion. People with older cats may also want to get two kittens, as a kitten may be too rambunctious for an older pet. Kittens take about 3-7 days to get comfortable in a new home, so have a quiet isolated place ready for that transition, introduce other pets slowly. I will give you lots of advice and instructions.
