About: First and foremost, for those concerned about stray and shelter cats, know that my kitties DO NOT compete or take away from shelter or rescue kitties in any way because my kitties have been filling a niche market for people who are allergic to cats or military personnel who don’t want to deal with cat hair on their uniforms.

My kitties do have a proven record of being hypoallergenic and low to near zero-shedding! So, people that love cats who have never been able to have a one, are able to have a cat.

I breed Balinese/Siamese kitties. My Snowshoes are the pattern result of the Queen being classic Siamese and Sire being a flame point Balinese. The Balinese/Siamese genetics combined with personal habits/traits of my personal cats has produced truly hypoallergenic and low to nearly zero-shedding cats. The main issue contributing to cat allergies is a small protein called Fel d 1 that is secreted by salivary and skin glands of cats. Balinese/Siamese cats are recognized for producing less of this protien. Additionally, Balinese/Siamese cats are also recognized as a low to no shedding breed. It is my personal belief that the cats who who are closer to zero-shedding, produce even less of this protein. Thus the kitties I chose for breeding must be relatively close to zero shedding. It it is not just about perfection in coloring and nature, my goal is to get as close to possible to zero shedding!

Beyond genetics, my cats have uniquely interesting personal traits that they seem to pass on to other cats in the next generation… My kitties do not sit around grooming themselves obsessively as most cats do. I only notice minimal grooming of face and paws after they eat, cleaning bottoms after a visit to the kitty box, or just a little grooming before they nap. They do not seem to do the full body grooming on a regular basis; they appear to only spot groom where they get dirty. The result of them not grooming themselves as typical cats do, they have less saliva on their fur to provoke allergic responses in people. Additionally, I have never seen one of my cats cough up a furball! Hard to believe, but true. The lack of grooming naturally results and the lack of hairballs produced.

And last, but certainly not least, my kitties do not require professional grooming! They do not need to be brushed or combed out. They’ve never matted or needed to be brushed out! EVER! I’m not sure if that comes down to genetics or behaviors and I have been amazed at the lack of care they need to maintain gorgeous coats.

Bottom line, I have the most perfect kitties. They are proven to actually be hypoallergenic, non-shedding, with no-fuss, rabbit soft, fluffy coats! My kitties also have amazingly loving and gentle personalities handed down from parents.

Summed up, my kitties fill a niche market for people that love cats but could not otherwise have one as a pet. I am very proud of my kitties and am very happy to help people with severe allergies and military personnel who don’t want to deal with cat hair on their uniforms to have amazing kitties of their own.

Just a footnote: I do not line breed and my kitties are only bred for one or sometimes two litters, then they are spayed/neutered and live out their lives happily being loved and cherished. It has been pure luck with me finding a new male with ALL the characteristics and qualities that I need. I keep a female or two from the previous years’ litters in hopes of finding the perfect male for the following year. If that perfect male is not found in any given year, the female(s) will be spayed and the breeding program ends.
