British Shorthaired will grow to have large, round heads with short noses, round eyes, wide set ears, medium length legs, and medium length tails. British shorthaired have a signature smile, which they famous for. They do not pester you all day, but they do enjoy your affection and attention. They are incredibly intellignet and enjoy challenging games or toys. The breed was initially known as the European Shorthair and made its way to Great Britain about 2,000 years ago. When Romans invaded Great Britain, European Shorthairs that had been acquired from Egypt, made the journey along with the Romans to help protect food supplies and keep rodents away.
