Sophie is a very sweet and social cat. She likes to be in the same room as people, and loves to be pet as long as it’s not on her stomach. She has sassy attitude, but what cat doesn’t. She will vocally let you know when she’s displeased or needs something, like a drink from the shower. She loves to let the water drip onto her head and drink it. Before we had children, she loved to be a part of our quiet home. She’s has never gotten along with our other cat, so I don’t think she would like to be in a home with another feline. However, they coexisted well in our household before children. Since having children 3 years ago, Sophie has not been her usual self. She hides more, fights with the other cat more, and in general just seems unhappy. We recently had a complete vet work up with blood work and X-rays. Other than being overweight, she is not sick in anyway. The vet says she is just stressed in her current loud, fast paced environment. We believe she would make a great pet for a quieter home, perhaps with older children, and no other cats, to live the rest of her years.
