These kittens are being raised in our home with much love and care - and their mothers' attentions, too. We keep our all of our felines pest-free and parasite-free, using natural products rather than chemicals whenever possible. We believe firmly that all medical decisions are the right of the adoptive families, especially since we seek to place our babies in homes by the age of 10 weeks. ————————————— It is our pleasure to pour our time and attention into these babies, providing you with loving kittens who adore people (for they have never experienced trauma, troubles, or neglect). ————————————- Our location is about 1 hour north of Green Bay, Wi; 5 hours east of St.Paul, Mn; or 5 hours north of Chicago, Il. ——————————————- I do not recommend having kittens shipped or flown. Your best experiences will come from meeting your kittens’ family, seeing where/how they were raised, and choosing your kittens in person. For that reason, we do not accept/require money in advance. Instead, you may reserve your kittens with your time and effort. Once you make the initial contact to reserve your kittens, we ask for regular weekly texts/emails from you - and in return, we send you updated photos/videos of your babies. As long as you keep communication open, your kittens are held for you. ————————————- All adoption fees/donations are used to cover the expenses of the rescue cats in our care. New rescues are only accepted when space becomes available and for a modest surrender fee. When we accept a rescue cat, we keep them for life - they have had enough upheaval in their lives and deserve a peaceful, happy barn life. ---------------------- We are a not-for-profit cat sanctuary. All fees collected, including those from our Polydactyl Cattery, are used to pay for the expenses of our feline residents. Donations are welcome - but adoptions into good homes are more welcome!
Beauty was brought in to our kittenry this morning (8-5-22) with a litter of 7 sweet, plump babies. We are estimating their birth date was 7-27-22. At roughly 9 days old, these babies are completely unphased by their introduction to people, rugs, and air conditioning - and their mother is delighted at the ever-present supply of kitten food and treats of canned meat.
Having brought in this litter of 7 and the other litter of 12 today, we felt inspired by the calendar. The Darling Dozen were named for the months of the year. This litter is named for the days of the week!
**Monday** The darkest black-and-white tuxedo. Of all the kittens, this is the only one with a black toe in its white stocking feet.
**Tuesday** black face and chin, black everywhere except the tummy and 4 white stockings! She is a bit of a runt, but nothing too dramatic.
**Wednesday** black face and chin, black everywhere except a thin white line running up the nose, the white tummy, and the white stockings. Little boy.
**Thursday** black face and white chin, black everywhere else except the white tummy and the white stockings.
**Friday** black and white tuxedo with fairly evenly proportions of black and white.
**Saturday** a beautiful brown tiger
**Sunday**: an adorable grey tabby
We will check gender in a few more days. All of the babies are promising to be long-haired Maine Coonish cats, like their mother. The father is unknown. For now, everyone is settling in happily.
