These kittens are being raised in our home with much love and care - and their mothers' attentions, too. We keep our all of our felines pest-free and parasite-free, using natural products rather than chemicals whenever possible. We believe firmly that all medical decisions are the right of the adoptive families, especially since we seek to place our babies in homes by the age of 10 weeks. ————————————— It is our pleasure to pour our time and attention into these babies, providing you with loving kittens who adore people (for they have never experienced trauma, troubles, or neglect). ————————————- Our location is about 1 hour north of Green Bay, Wi; 5 hours east of St.Paul, Mn; or 5 hours north of Chicago, Il. ——————————————- I do not recommend having kittens shipped or flown. Your best experiences will come from meeting your kittens’ family, seeing where/how they were raised, and choosing your kittens in person. For that reason, we do not accept/require money in advance. Instead, you may reserve your kittens with your time and effort. Once you make the initial contact to reserve your kittens, we ask for regular weekly texts/emails from you - and in return, we send you updated photos/videos of your babies. As long as you keep communication open, your kittens are held for you. ————————————- All adoption fees/donations are used to cover the expenses of the rescue cats in our care. New rescues are only accepted when space becomes available and for a modest surrender fee. When we accept a rescue cat, we keep them for life - they have had enough upheaval in their lives and deserve a peaceful, happy barn life.
----------------------------------------- Polydactyl kittens come in many different configurations. A "normal" cat has 5 toes on each front paw, and 4 toes on each back paw. It is more common for polydactyl cats to have extra front toes, less common for them to have extra back toes, and quite rare for all four feet to have extra toes.
Our prices for polydactyl kitten litters are 3-tiered. Normal siblings (no extra toes, but just as sweet and loved) are $25 each. Kittens with extra front toes and normal back feet are $160. In the rare case of a kitten with extra toes on all four feet, the adoption price is $240.
PolyAnna and PolyEsther are twins - each with mitten paws on their front legs. These girls are inseperable from each other. Normally, they inhabit our house and sleep with my daughter - but we have learned the hard way that first-time mothers can make poor choices and loose babies if not confined to a kennel for the birthing. So, a few days before they were due, Esther and Anna were transferred to my mother's kitten room. Here, mother cats are pampered from before birthing until all their babies are adopted or weened. ----------------------- Esther birthed first on July 31st, and completely panicked. She wanted nothing to do with her babies, being a cat who has never liked change or new things. She also didn't seem to have any milk. However, her twin sister Anna immediately took to the babies. Anna cleaned, dried, and nursed them on her own full udders as she waited to birth her own babies - who came hours later. Esther is now content to lay down with her sister and the babies, but Anna remains the primary caregiver for all five babies.
---------------------------
Genders will be difficult to tell until the babies plump up more. At this point, both polydactyl kittens have been spoken for, but their three normal siblings are still available.
-------------------------------------
We believe that the black polydactyl is a girl. She has distinctive mitten paws in front, and an extra "thumb toe" on each back foot - the rare variety of polydactyl that has extra toes on all four feet! PolyCRYSTALline, or "Crystal" is her name.
---------------------------
The grey polydactyl looks to be a boy. He has mitten paws on the front legs, and he also has an extra toe on each back paws - also the rare variety of polydactyl that has extra toes on all four feet! His name is PolycarboNATE, or "Nate" for short.
---------------------------------
The other two grey tigers and the brown tiger are "normal" and females - not polydactyl. They will be just as sweet and loving, if not quite so unique. They are Leonora, Norma, and Eleanora.
