These kittens are being raised in our home with much love and care - and their mother’s attention, too. We keep our all of our felines pest-free and parasite-free, using natural products rather than chemicals whenever possible. We believe firmly that all medical decisions are the right of the adoptive families, especially since we seek to place our foster babies in homes by the age of 10 weeks. Our costs are low, consequently, our adoption fees are low. ————————————— It is our pleasure to pour our time and attention into these babies, providing you with loving kittens who adore people (for they have never experienced trauma, troubles, or neglect). ————————————- Our location is about 1 hour north of Green Bay, Wi; 5 hours east of St.Paul, Mn; or 5 hours north of Chicago, Il. ——————————————- I do not recommend having kittens shipped or flown. Your best experiences will come from meeting your kittens’ family, seeing where/how they were raised, and choosing your kittens in person. For that reason, we do not accept/require money in advance. Instead, you may reserve your kittens with your time and effort. Once you make the initial contact to reserve your kittens, we ask for regular weekly texts/emails from you - and in return, we send you updated photos/videos of your babies. As long as you keep communication open, your kittens are held for you. ————————————- All adoption fees/donations from our rescue cats’ kittens are used to cover the expenses of the rescue cats in our care. New rescues are only accepted when space becomes available and for a modest surrender fee. When we accept a rescue cat, we keep them for life - they have had enough upheaval in their lives and deserve a peaceful, happy barn life.
We took Mika in 4 years ago, when her aggressive behaviors made her unsuitable to be an indoor cat anymore - so she was normalized to be a barn cat for us. She is always cautious outdoors, though an excellent mouser. She closely resembles the American Shorthair breed - though with no provable pedigree. The best description of her breed would be “hardy barn cat”.————————————————- As with all of our mama cats, she was brought indoors a few weeks before birthing to our sunny cat room for special spoiling (she is relaxed and happy in her XL kennel, and really enjoys her mama time). She will stay indoors until the last of her kittens is adopted. It is my widowed mother’s joy to fuss over the mamas and babies, and they are a balm to her. ———————————————-------------------------------------- On May 3rd, she had 7 vigorous babies, with an excellent range of colors. All of the babies were quite small, but are plumping up nicely. Once they are fat enough to show their gender clearly, we will post that information. The firstborn was a dark brown tabby - Nutmeg. The second was a grey-yellow-white calico with lovely, clear markings - Ginger. The 3rd born was a white-orange-black calico, mostly white with polka dots of color - Clove. The 4th born was a white kitten with tiger polka dots on the back - Dill. Number 5 is mostly white with orange spots (he got so badly stuck - coming out tail first - that I had to assist the mama by pulling) - Paprika. Number 6 was a mostly white kitten with a black cap and tail - Peppercorn. Number 7 is also mostly white with orange spots (he also came out tail first, but only needing a little tug to pop his head out) - Turmeric. There were also 2 large babies that were stillborn...
These babies will be old enough to go to their new homes around June 20th.
